Panelists talked about how journalism has changed since the Guardian newspaper’s decision to publish leaked U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance files submitted by former government contractor Edward Snowden. Janine Gibson, U.S. Editor-in-Chief for the Guardian, talked about how they broke the Edward Snowden story. Other panelists included the Executive Editor of the New York Times and a member of President Obama’s NSA Reform Panel. This event was part of Columbia University Journalism School’s year-long project entitled “Journalism After Snowden.” close
