Panelists talked about the history of U.S. policy in Iraq and Afghanistan; the current strategic and economic goals; the political, legal and economic context; and the effect of these policies in combating terrorism. After their presentations the panelists responded to audience members' questions.

Anthony Arnove is the author of Iraq: The Logic of Withdrawal. Michael Schwartz is the author of the forthcoming book War Without End: The Iraq War in Context.
