Panelists talked about changes in advertising during the 2008 elections. A large percentage of advertising in 2008 was done online, including local media sites. Also, for the first time political online advertisers successfully used behavioral advertising. However, Congress and regulatory agencies are studying placing restrictions on this type of advertising.
