A ceremony was held to open the new Military Advanced Training Center at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Secretary Nicholson, Rep. Murtha, and others addressed the assembled guests. The purpose of the center is to improve the medical care and rehabilitative services for amputees and warriors who have lost the function of limbs.

Rep. Murtha is chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense. close
