She described Burr, Thomas Jefferson's vice president, as a scapegoat, saying he was not a villain as is portrayed in most histories due to the writings of political rivals from the 18th century. She described his relationship with Alexander Hamilton, whom he later killed in a duel. She read excerpts from the book and responded to audience members' questions.
