Jonathan Kaplan talked about his book Contact Wounds: A War Surgeon’s Education, published by Grove Press. In the book, the author recounted his numerous experiences while volunteering with humanitarian efforts in war-torn Eritrea, Kurdistan, Angola and finally Baghdad. The book is a follow up of his debut memoir The Dressing Station. In his books Dr. Kaplan recounts in great detail various procedures he performed and patients he treated. Dr. Kaplan read excerpts from his book Contact Wounds. Following his presentation, he responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.
