Authors, David Levering Lewis and Deborah Willis, talked about their book, "A Small Nation of People: W.E.B. Du Bois and African American Portraits of Progress". The book contains photographs of middle-class African Americans, selected from a large group of pictures presented by W.E.B. Du Bois at the 1900 Paris World Fair. Slides of the photographs were shown throughout the presentation. The co-authors also responded to questions from the audience. close
