Matthew Lee talked about diplomatic immunity, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Topics included how it works, who receives it, and its role in reference to former National Security Agency (NSA) employee Edward Snowden, who leaked details of classified programs. He said that Edward Snowden was in limbo, and that Ecuador had not approved Mr. Snowden’s asylum request, because he was not yet in Ecuador. He also spoke about Julian Assange and his protection by Ecuador. close
