John Miller talked about his book A Gift of Freedom: How the John M. Olin Foundation Changed America, published by Encounter Books. John Olin was an industrialist who used his wealth to fund conservative projects such as the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society in the latter part of the twentieth century. The book looks at how Mr. Olin’s foundation used hundreds of millions of dollars to spread the conservative movement throughout universities, media, and government. Following his presentation, Mr. Miller responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.
