Ms. Gay Hart Gaines, GOPAC Chairman, read some personal comments from GOPAC members to House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Then, Speaker Gingrich spoke about the challenges facing the Republican party in the 1996 elections and its continuing commitment to the remaining items in its “Contract with America.” He also paid tribute to Senator Dole’s long career of public service.
