Mr. Yergin talked about the book he co-wrote, The Commanding Heights: The Battle Between Government and the Market Place. The book examines “the individuals, the ideas, the conflicts, and the turning points” that make up dominant enterprises and industries that characterize “high-end” nations. Mr. Yergin also examines how the current Asian monetary crisis will affect the world economy. Following his prepared remarks, Mr. Yergin answered questions from the audience.
