Scholars, members of the Bush administration and others discussed the U.S. operations in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Mr. Heimbach, Laurence Radway summarized their papers on Bush's moral leadership during the Gulf War and the role of mass nationalism in the Gulf War. Then the other panelists commented on the presentations and made other remarks. They panelists also took questions from the audience. This was part of a three-day symposium on the Bush presidency.
