Mr. Tanenhaus talked about his book, Whittaker Chambers: A Biography, published by Random House. Whittaker Chambers was a communist author and Soviet agent in his youth and later became a writer at Time. He was the main witness in the case against Alger Hiss as a Soviet agent. In this portion, Mr. Tanenhaus talked about some of his covert activities and his accusations against Alger Hiss. This was the second half of a two-hour interview.
