The committee held a hearing on Persian Gulf War Syndrome. Gulf war veterans, researchers and medical experts testified about the effects of exposure to chemical agents on veterans during the 1991 Persian Gulf War, specifically the explosion of a chemical weapons storage site in Kamisiyah in March 1991.
