Ms. Luchetti spoke about her new book, I Do: Courtship, Love and Marriage on the American Frontier. She spoke about the role of women in the westward expansion and how it helped liberate them a great deal in their relations with men and society at large. She also showed slides of photographs of many women. After her remarks, she took questions from the audience.
