A gathering of supporters, speakers and a military band paid tribute to Pat Buchanan’s continuing efforts to keep certain issues, such as immigration, trade and abortion, before the electorate. In his remarks, Mr. Buchanan urged his supporters to put aside their differences with other Republicans in order to defeat President Clinton but did not directly endorse the Dole candidacy. He also commented on aspects of the party platform.
