Mr. Lyons spoke about his new book, Fools for Scandal: How the Media Invented Whitewater. In it he argues that the Washington press corps created the affair by believing the testimony of several unreliable people. He also talked about how and why he wrote the book. After reading several passages from it, he took questions from the audience.
