Ms. Claybrook and Mr. Schiff talked about a report that rated members of Congress based on how they voted on reforming Congress to reduce the influence of special interest groups and lobbyists. This was especially noteworthy in the 103rd Congress because so many freshman had promised such reforms during their 1992 campaigns. After their remarks, they took questions from the press. 186 out of 535 members voted against all such reform meaures and 178 voted for all of them.
