President Clinton spoke at the 50th anniversary of D-Day and visited the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial above Omaha Beach in Colleville-sur-Mer, France. The president paid tribute to the Americans who served in the Normandy campaign and those who were killed in World War II. The president said that to build upon the sacrifice of D-Day’s heroes we must expand freedom’s reach forward.
