Participants discussed the president’s '95 federal budget proposal under congressional consideration. They stated that the budget has few “controversial” segments and should be passed without major revision. They also discussed other ways to reduce the federal budget deficit including health care reform. Following opening statements, the participants took questions concerning the details of the budget.
