The guests discussed such topics as the role of U.S. troops
in the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Somalia, the decision
to send U.S. troops to Haiti, and the events in the former
Yugoslavia. Both guests supported the withdrawal of American troops
from Somalia. Other topics included President Clinton’s health care
proposals. They responded to telephone calls.
