Mr. Skerry discussed his book and said that the significance of his subtitle, “the ambivalent majority,” is that no one is quite sure of the political direction of this newly emerging group in the next decade. He stated that the ambivalence is political and not psychological, and believes that Mexican-Americans would be the next “test case” of how America integrates its ethnic minorities. close
