Walter Shaub, former director of the Office of Government Ethics, outlined ways to strengthen executive ethics rules. Mr. Shaub criticized the Trump administration for not adhering to ethical norms that previous administrations have followed such as avoiding conflicts of interest and nepotism. He warned that norms were constantly changing and the president’s attacks against the judicial branch and the press could mean trouble for democracy. close
