Witnesses testified at a hearing on the deployment of FirstNet, a national public safety network for first responders. Among the witnesses testifying were FirstNet CEO Michael Poth, AT&T Senior Vice President Chris Sambar and Virginia Deputy Secretary of Public Safety Curtis Brown. AT&T was formally selected in March 2017 to build and operate this public safety broadband network. Five states - Virginia, Wyoming, Arkansas, Kentucky and Iowa - have joined the FirstNet network. close
