President Trump and Indian Prime Minster Narendra Modi delivered a joint statement in the White House Rose Garden. President Trump said the relationship between the U.S. and India had never been stronger but emphasized that trade between the two nations must be “fair and reciprocal.” In addition, the president said the U.S. and India were working to enhance military relations in combating terrorism. Prime Minister Modi said India’s interests lie in a strong, prosperous and successful America. At the end of his remarks, Prime Minister Modi formally invited President Trump and his family to India. close
