U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer served as judges in the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s mock trial based on Macbeth. A panel of federal appellate court judges and Supreme Court justices, including Justices Ginsburg and Breyer, heard oral argument in the case of The Weird Sisters v. Kingdom of Scotland. At issue was whether the sisters were guilty of using witchcraft to aid and abet Macbeth in the murder of King Duncan of Scotland.
