The press toured the White House to look at the Christmas decorations. The 2016 holiday season theme at the White House was “The Gift of the Holidays.” First lady Michelle Obama reportedly chose that theme in order to highlight her work on the issues of service, education, and health. The decorations included tens of thousands of lights, many Christmas trees, giant replicas of the Obama family dogs, Bo and Sunny, a 300 pound gingerbread replica of the White House, and gingerbread houses made of hundreds of Legos. close
