President Obama spoke at the opening session of his fourth and final Nuclear Security Summit, held March 31 and April 1, 2016, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. He talked about international efforts to secure nuclear material. He also discussed efforts by terrorist groups like al Qaeda and ISIS* to acquire nuclear materials in order to produce nuclear devices, such as so-called dirty bombs. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who hosted the previous summit in 2014, also spoke.
