The committee heard testimony from veterans' organizations and officers in the military and previous government administrations on the role of the Defense Intelligence Agency in the investigation of missing American POW/MIAs from the Vietnam War. The hearing was the first of four final hearings before the committees authorization runs out at the end of the year.
