President Obama delivered remarks at a formal investiture ceremony for Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. Ms. Lynch was officially sworn in by Vice President Biden April 27, 2015. At this ceremonial swearing-in U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor administered the oath using Fredrick Douglass' Bible. Attorney General Lynch then spoke about striving for justice and constant vigilance over freedom. The Drug Enforcement Administration Black and Gold Pipes and Drums played the concluding music. close
