Secretary Arne Duncan talked about the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, also known as No Child Left Behind. Topics included the progress America has made in education and closing achievement gaps, as well as the need for Congress to reauthorize or replace the law with one that ensures the opportunity for every child to succeed. Following his remarks he participated in a discussion with Civil Rights leader Wade Henderson, public school principal Rachel Skerritt, and students from the Washington, D.C., area. close
