Senator Whitehouse (D-RI) spoke on the Senate floor about his amendment to the bill allowing construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline, which stated that “climate change is real and not a hoax.” He was followed by Senate Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) who supported the Whitehouse amendment and also spoke about his amendment, which regulates storage and transportation of petroleum coke. The two then participated in a brief colloquy. close
