Bruce Quirk talked about how drones were being utilized by the Department of the Interior, including what technology was available or being developed. He used slides during his presentation and afterwards responded to questions from members of the audience. Topics included uses by the U.S. Geological Survey, including partnering with commercial operators for aerial surveying operations.
The program “How Unmanned Aircraft Systems Are Changing the Department of the Interior” was held in the Rachel Carson Room of the Stewart Lee Udall Department of the Interior Building. It was part of the brown bag luncheon series held by the DOI Museum and Office of International Affairs Policy Division. close
