Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI) introduced proposed policy reforms to reduce poverty in the U.S. Following his speech, Representative Ryan and others participated in a panel discussion on the policy implications of his plan and responded to questions from the audience. Representative Ryan’s plan sought to streamline eleven federal anti-poverty programs into one funding stream, which would have allowed states to create flexible programs for their residents. close
