Lee Rainie talked about a study put together by the Pew Research Center’s Internet and American Life Project. The study found that 18 percent of adults with Internet access had important personal information stolen in 2014, an increase from 11 percent from 2013. He talked about online vulnerabilities faced by individuals and businesses; new ways to increase security and protection; challenges policy-makers face as threats multiply and the digital word expands; and differing attitudes toward internet safety among demographic groups. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications, including personal stories from callers.

The program included a video clip of Former Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) being interviewed April 17, 2014, for “Newsmakers.” close
