Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Mark Begich (D-AK) announced their legislation to prevent gun violence by strengthening background check laws that would limit access to firearms based on mental illness. Senators Graham and Begich were joined by Senators Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and Mark Pryor (D-AR). Following the remarks on reducing gun violence, Senator Graham spoke about President Obama’s dinner that night with eleven Republican senators.
