Former Federal Reserve Board of Governors Chairman Paul Volcker expressed concern about the United States' long-term debt situation and warned that the Federal Reserve would have difficulty ending its economic growth programs. Other topics included Congress' failure to enact the Volcker Rule as part of the Dodd-Frank financial regulations law. The rule would ban certain types of risky trading by banks holding federally-insured deposits. After his remarks, Mr. Volcker was interviewed by Steve Liesman.
