Co-authors Bill Broyles, Gayle Harrison Hartmann, and Thomas Sheridan, talked about their book Last Water on the Devil’s Highway: A Cultural and Natural History of Tinajas Atlas. The book examines the human and natural history of The Devil’s Highway, or El Camino del Diablo. The most famous waterhole on the route is Tinajas Altas, or High Tanks, a series of natural rock basins that are among the few reliable sources of water in this region.
