President Obama urged Congress to take action to avoid the automatic budget cuts scheduled to happen on March 1. Joined by law enforcement officers and first-responders, he warned that the automatic cuts, totaling about $85 billion over the course of a year, would prompt job losses, weaken national security, and cancel government services.
