Senators Harry Reid (D-NV), Dick Durbin (D-IL), and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) spoke to reporters about the need for immigration reform. They have set a goal of passing an immigration bill through the Senate by late spring or summer, paving the way for House passage before the end of the year. Senator Durbin said a bipartisan group of senators was making progress on some of the toughest immigration issues.
