Carlos Gutierrez talked about President Obama’s remarks on immigration policy in Las Vegas and the bipartisan immigration plan proposed by eight senators. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Other topics included divisions within the Republican Party about immigration policy, perceptions of the the Republican Party’s among Latino voters, and the politics of immigration reform. 
Mr. Gutierrez is co-founder of Republicans for Immigration Reform, a super political action committee aimed at electing Republicans dedicated to immigration reform and improve the party’s standing with Hispanics.
