A bipartisan group of senators spoke to reporters about their immigration reform proposal which sought to improve border security, improve immigration status checks performed by employers, and streamline the process for future immigrants entering the United States. It would also open a path to citizenship for the 11 million illegal immigrants currently living in the country.
