On this eve of the presidential inauguration ceremony, President and Mrs. Obama and Vice President and Mrs. Biden attended a candlelight reception in the atrium of the National Building Museum to thank donors for their support during the 2012 campaign. President Obama talked about how the next day’s inauguration should remind all Americans about their role “to promote a common good” and to pass on a worthy legacy for future generations.
