Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama’s inaugural Faith Council, talked about his book, Sacred Ground: Pluralism, Prejudice, and the Promise of America, in which he argues that America should strive to be a pluralistic country where religion is a bridge to cooperation rather than a fissure between people. Mr. Patel, the president and founder of Interfaith Youth Core, spoke with Ed Bacon, rector of All Saints Episcopal Church of Pasadena, California at the Los Angeles Public Library.
