Jay Carney led the daily White House briefing. He responded to Speaker Boehner’s remarks on the House floor earlier in the day criticizing President Obama for not putting forward specifics in fiscal “cliff negotiations". Among his statements he said that "the President, unlike any of the other parties in this negotiation, has put forward detailed spending cuts as well as detailed revenue proposals.”
