U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice spoke at the United Nations General Assembly after a vote upgraded the Palestinians' status to a “non-member observer state.” Ambassador Rice said the vote places “further obstacles in the path of peace.” Israel and the United states were against the resolution because they said it conflicts with peace deal negotiations.
