Author Reyna Grande talked about her book, The Distance Between Us: A Memoir, in which she shared her experiences growing up in Mexico without her parents, who immigrated to the United States illegally to find work. Ms. Grande also answered viewer questions. This event took place at the 2012 Miami Book Fair International held November 11-18, 2012 on the campus of Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida.
