Ambassadors John Smith and Mohammed Alhussaini Alsharif talked about the state of U.S.-Saudi Arabia relations. Ambassador Smith talked about moderate reforms taking place in the country after the Arab Spring including changes to the judicial system, increasing investments in education, and creating what the ambassador called “a real sense of accountability” to the people in the country.

The 21st Annual Arab-U.S. Policymakers Conference was held by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. close
