Yemeni President Abdrabuh Mansour Hadi talked about the future of his country. He took over the presidency in February 2012, after an uprising forced the previous president to step down after 33 years in power.Among his comments he remarked on the progress made during in the previous year, including the formation of a government and ongoing talks to shape the country’s future. He called for economic support from the U.S. and the world community, and discussed the lack of jobs for young Yemeni’s. He defended the use of drones to fight al-Qaida and other militant groups in the country. close
