President Obama addressed the United Nations General Assembly. He began by talking about the life of the late Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed at an attack of the U.S. embassy in Libya. He said “the events of the last two weeks are not simply an assault on America,” but an assault on the ideals of the U.N. He also spoke about Iran’s nuclear program, warning that “the United States will do what we must to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”
